This show is our longest running and the original one started by Karen Perry in 1991. Our shows have always relied on all of us helping to make it a success with exhibitors helping to decorate, distribute flyers, anything we can imagine. Since then, we have outgrown several locations.
Again this year, we are pleased to support the Ocean Avenue PTO with a suggested $3. donation at the door. They help parents get involved in their children's education and supports a wide range of activities including field trips and commuunity events.
The spirit of the season awaits you at the ever-popular Holiday Fair at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brunswick. The aroma of delicious soups and baked goods and the sound of live music will welcome shoppers. The beauty of handmade creations of vendors and crafters will decorate the sanctuary. Freshly created holiday wreaths will add their fragrance in the lobby. Everyone is sure to discover an unexpected perfect find in the White Elephant room and at the used tool table. The room with gently used jewelry will once again be filled with treasures. New this year, the Kids’ Creation Station, run by church youth, will entertain young visitors.

CHAMBERLAIN MUSEUM CELEBRATES FANNIE CHAMBERLAIN’S 200TH BIRTHDAY WITH PARTY AND GUEST ARTIST
Brunswick – July 25, 2025: Three years older than her famous husband, Frances “Fannie” Chamberlain turns 200 this year, on August 12. To celebrate, the Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum, located at 226 Maine Street and operated by Pejepscot History Center, is holding a special Fannie-themed tour and a birthday party open house.
The tour takes place twice: on Saturday, August 9, and Tuesday, August 12 at 2:30PM, and is limited to 15 guests each. Tickets are required via pejepscothistorical.org. Tour guides will highlight aspects of Fannie’s life relative to each room of the house.
Following the Tuesday tour, the museum will hold a birthday party from 3:30-5:30 PM featuring mixed media textile artist, Catherine Worthington, a Brunswick resident. Worthington, whose work is housed in area institutions and private collections, will chat with guests and display her own painted-cloth quilted pieces alongside Fannie’s. Fannie Chamberlain was a gifted fine art painter, quilter, knitter, and sewer, and 35 of her crazy quilt squares are owned by the museum.
Guests will enjoy cake and ice cream on the lawn (or inside in the event of rain), free walk-throughs of the house, discounts on Fannie-related items in the shop, and a 19th-century costume contest judged by Joshua and Fanny reenactors.
More information is at www.pejepscothistorical.org/events, or by calling PHC at (207) 729-6606.
